Public Presentation of the ERC Project “Right to Housing: the Production of Everyday Living Spaces in Yugoslavia (1945–1991)”

Public presentation of the project “Right to Housing: the Production of Spaces of Everyday Life in Yugoslavia (1945–1991)”, led by Dr Tamara Bjažić Klarin and supported by the European Research Council (ERC), was held in the landing area of the Institute of Art History on Monday, 9 December 2024.

The opening remarks were delivered by Dr Katarina Horvat-Levaj, Director of the Institute, and Doris Jozić, representative of the Ministry of Science, Education and Youth of the Republic of Croatia and a member of the Institute’s Governing Board. The presentation, moderated by Dr Petar Prelog, featured Dr Tamara Bjažić Klarin, project leader, and members of the project team: Dr Ljiljana Kolešnik, Dr Lidija Butković Mićin, Dr Martina Malešič, and Irena Šimić.

During the presentation, it was highlighted that, within the Horizon Europe programme, ERC is one of the most competitive research funding programmes, aimed at experienced researchers. Housing.Yu is also the first Croatian ERC-funded project in the field of the humanities to be carried out at a Croatian research institution, the Institute of Art History.

Presentation of the Book “Aleksander Laslo: Zagreb – Architecture, Architects”

On 16 September 2026, the book Aleksander Laslo: Zagreb – Architecture, Architects, edited by Dr Tamara Bjažić Klarin and published by the Institute of Art History in 2025, was presented at the Zagreb Society of Architects.
