Field visit to the Croatian State Archives and Kockica

Members of the research team of the ERC project Housing.Yu – Right to Housing: the Production of Spaces of Everyday Life in Yugoslavia (1945-1991) participated on 5 and 6 June 2025 in the fieldwork program for students of the graduate study of history at the Faculty of Philosophy of the Juraj Dobrila University in Pula, led by Prof. Dr. sc. Igor Duda.

On Thursday 5 June 2025, the doctoral students of the Housing.Yu project Hana Bečeić, Antun Dulibić and Frano Petar Zovko joined a visit to the Croatian State Archives, where they learned about the history and work of the parent archival institution and the methods of researching archival materials. This was followed by a thematic walk through Zagreb, led by historians Saša Vejzagić and Karlo Držaić, co-authors of the collection Cartography of Resistance: Zagreb 1941–1945. The topic of the walk was the activities of the illegal NOP in Zagreb during World War II.

The following day, a joint visit to the “Kockice” building in Prisavlje – the former headquarters of the central socio-political organizations of the SR of Croatia and one of the key achievements of architect Ivan Vitić, was organized. The tour of the building was led by Dr. Tamara Bjažić Klarin, head of the ERC project, and was joined by Irena Šimić and Marija Jurić, project associates.

Presentation of the Book “Aleksander Laslo: Zagreb – Architecture, Architects”

On 16 September 2026, the book Aleksander Laslo: Zagreb – Architecture, Architects, edited by Dr Tamara Bjažić Klarin and published by the Institute of Art History in 2025, was presented at the Zagreb Society of Architects.
