Research Stay in Stockholm

Hana Bečeić was in Stockholm from 18 to 25 January 2026, where she conducted research at the KTH Library (KTH Biblioteket). The focus was on reading and documenting Swedish professional periodicals, in particular the journals Byggmästaren – tidskrift för arkitektur och byggnadsteknik and Att bo.

The stay also included a visit to the ArkDes museum and library, a meeting with curator Frida Rosenberg, and consultation of archival materials related to Swedish housing estates. Fieldwork consisted of visiting and documenting the housing estates Vällingby and Farsta, with the aim of analysing urban planning concepts and residential architecture in the Swedish context.

The research was carried out as part of the ERC project Housing.Yu – “Right to Housing”: the Production of Spaces of Everyday Life in Yugoslavia (1945-1991).
